Iron maiden (Derek Riggs) 







Throughout Dereks work with Iron maiden fans of the band took great joy in finding Dereks signature (above) hidden in each work he has done this in each of his pictures and this is how you can tell that is his authentic work and if it doesn't have it on you know he didn't create the piece.




That is why i picked these  three works because they each have his mark on them for example on killers it on the right hand side next too eddies trouser leg in the centre (left) purple window.

 On purgatory its under the fin/ear  in the back space on the album  i think this album cover is one of my favourites due to the red standing out against the black which is one of my favourite colour combinations which is probably why i like it so much as a stand alone piece. i also like the contrasts in the sides of the face where the deamon is transforming into eddie but the scary part of it is not necerserly the deamon eye but more the human one which is the only human feture on the hole cover.

 On this poster (don't know which album its off) the mark is on the spear head i like the contrasts of colour on this artwork and the way that eddies leg is blended from the light blue into the red and the detailing that has been i put into the blood splatters.


Pink Floyd (Storm Thorgerson)

Probably one of his most famous pieces of work this is his work for pink floods Dark side of the moon Storm liked to make objects seem out of place like there not meant too be there

these are other examples of objects or things that are not meant to be there and seem out of place .

they are both off albums the top is coldplay and the other is from another band.
