Exquisite corpse, also known as exquisite cadaver or rotating corpse, is a method by which a collection of words or images is collectively assembled like when you were a child and you and you friends created a story by writing a line each or making a person by each drawing a part each e.g. head, torso,lower body,legs, feet. Each collaborator adds to a composition in sequence, either by following a rule or by being allowed to see only the end of what the previous person contributed therefore creating a mismatch of thing like Dada itself.
Kurt Schwitters (20 June 1887 – 8 January 1948) was a German artist who was born in Hanover, Germany.
he worked in several genres and media, including Dada, surrealism, Constructivism, sound, poetry, painting, sculpture, graphic design, typography, and also what came to be known as installation art. He is more famous however for his collages
Raoul Hausmann (July 12, 1886 – February 1, 1971) was an Austrian artist and writer. One of the key figures in Berlin Dada, his experimental photographic collages, sound poetry and institutional critiques would have a profound influence on the European Avant-Garde in the aftermath of World War I.
They pulled most of there imagery from pamflets and crated these which have a contermpery feel and now we have mass media so back then they were a lot more politically charged and directed and contained a lot more propergander and were re-appropriated
