Andy Warhol

Born 6/8/1928  he was an American artist who was a leading figure in the visual art movement

known as pop art Warholes art included many forms of media, including hand drawn painted and printmaking. He was also a pioneer in computer generated Art.

 The cans of soup and maryalin Monro are both repeating prints and are are most likely a cut out  he used rreapportion to show how industry reproduced coppies of things and people and are exsesive  Andy said himself that the soup can was his favorite print . To create that many print however he did use assistants to create the other artwork and that is why there are so many of the same design.

Campbell's can of soup was printed in 1962 by Andy Warhol and consists of 32 canvases and was produced by printmaking

Marilyn Diptych is a silkscreen painting by Andy Warhol  and is one of the most famous of Andy work also done in 1962 It consist of 50 images of the actress all based on a single publicity photo from a movie in 1953.
