Another Idea

Another idea was to actual paint the lens itself However i don't want to damage it completely but i could have a go at doing that in photoshop which might work if i put the image of the lens on one layer and the place the paint effect on another. Again having a look on google images for ideas and it not yielding any great finds other then this image with when looking at it is rather spectacular.
