Metamorphosis - looking at this through surrealism

For my interpretation of metamorphosis i am going to make water and air flow into other objects and creatures. i like surrealist interpolations of this and will most likely take my artwork down this route.
While looking at surrealism early in class i thought that i could reference that art movement through my work in metamorphosis and bring it into what i am doing with the deer and in 3D because surrealism seems to be one thing merging into another and and i have found that this is a recurring thing and i wanted to bring that into my work.
I am searching google for things to get inspiration for this.

As i was looking for metamorphosis and looking at that through surrealism i found some art work which i really liked and i have copied the like for later reference when i do some 3D work towards this unit slide i want to do work that is quite similar to this for my metamorphic work. The artist is called Ellen Jewett and her work is rally good.

like this piece were the persons head in being transformed into water and there is no distinguishing feature between the head and the water and that is what i am trying to achieve thought my work.This to me looks quite digitalised and also though this style appeals to me i wish mine to be more rough and textual then this.

I like the artist play on a wolf in sheeps clothing and made its so the wolf is coming out of the wool on the back of the sheep and i think it is quite effective also i think that the red on the sheeps legs are quite effective and stand out against the white and black. This style i like where there is not much in the background however to be able to create a feel that the creature is the but isn't i need the background to be as detailed as the animal or object that i am blending through detail into the background this is a direction to go down and experiment with if i have time to do so but i will have to see if i have time after completing and meeting the objectives i have set myself

I am wanting to create a piece like this were it is hard to tell between and background and the creature in my work because i like the way people do this using watcher colour and oil and  think it will be a challenge to do and i want to try something new and interesting. However for me i think the design of this painting is a bit flat but the design of the swan into the bridge is what i want to achieve through my work i will be experimenting with this throughout this unit .
