PHOENIX - while in my spare time in a free two hour slot I thought I would use pencils to create a drawing of  a phoenix I loved the way I managed to blend the different shades together  to crate the fiery effect common to this mythical creature and the blue of the eye stands out against the dark reds of the feathers I got the idea of the classic tail feathers of the male peacock and the long necks of geese and swans.
